BiographyLouisa Betts Corlies was the daughter of Joseph D. Corlies of Brooklyn, New York. She married Eustace Chester Chapman (1841-1893) on 16 January 1873. He was the son of Chester (1799-1859) and Elizabeth Bull Chapman (1824-1888) of Ellington, Connecticut. Louisa and Eustace had six children, including Etta Corlies Chapman (1875-1959) and Mary Elizabeth Chapman (born 1874.) Louisa Betts Corlies Chapman died in 1888.
