Titus H. Darrow

American, 1814 - 1881
BiographyTitus H. Darrow first appears in the Census records as a harness maker, but by 1860, he was listed as an ornamental painter, living in Farmington, CT. Several of his landscape compositions were produced as tinted and color lithographs by the Kelloggs during the late 1840s and early 1850s. By 1870, Darrow was living in Plainville, CT with his wife Sarah. By 1880, his occupation is given as farmer, so he had probably retired from his career as a painter by this time. He died in 1881 and is buried in Plymouth, CT, his hometown.
