Governor Oliver Wolcott Jr.

Oliver Wolcott, Jr., was born in Litchfield, Connecticut, on 11 January 1760. He was the son of Oliver Wolcott, Sr., (1726-1797), and the only brother of Frederick Wolcott (b. 1767). Oliver Wolcott, Jr. graduated from Yale in 1778. Like his father and grandfather before him, he became the Governor of Connecticut, holding office from 1817 to 1827. He died in New York City on 1 June 1833.
