Frederick Robbins
American, 1756 - 1821
After the Revolutionary War, Frederick Robbins returned to Connecticut to farm, and he raised a large family. He married Mehitable Wolcott (d. 1806) on 12 April 1781; they had five children. He married his second wife, Sally Deming (d. 1809), on 9 May 1808; they had one child. He married his third wife, the widow Abigail Grimes Griswold (d. 1879), on 13 January 1811; they had four children. Frederick Robbins served as first selectman for Wethersfield for many years, and he was also a Representative of Wethersfield in the Legislature. He died 1 November 1821; he is buried in Rocky Hill.
