BiographyThe partners of this firm were Aaron Chapin (1753-1838) and his son, Laertes Chapin (1778-1847). The firm first advertised on 14 January 1807 in The Connecticut Courant. After his father's death in 1838, Laertes Chapin continued practicing cabinetmaking on his own.
