BiographyThomas Grosvenor Talcott was the son of Samuel Austin Talcott (1780-1836) and his second wife, Mary Eliza Grosvenor (d. 1848). He was the great great grandson of Governor Joseph Talcott (1669-1741) of Connecticut. In 1841, he married Sarah A. Jones. They had at least one daughter, Helen (or Helena?) Barker Talcott (Mrs. William Augustus Muhlenberg Wainwright) (b. 1842).
