BiographySamuel Talcott, Jr., was the son of Mabel Wyllys (d. 1775) and Samuel Talcott (1711-1797). He was the grandson of Governor Joseph Talcott (1669-1741) of Connecticut. In 1767, he married Abigail Ledyard. They had at least one son, Samuel Austin Talcott (1789-1836).
