Bates Hoyt How
American, born 1776
Brother Bowers How is known to have been in New Marlborough as late as 1803 when a child was born to him and his wife. Before 1810 Bowers had migrated to New York State, where he is listed in the federal census that year and later. Brother James How probably followed suit, as he was married in New York State.
Bates How's work closely resembles that of Reuben Beman, Jr. (1772) of New Marlborough, Massachusetts.
