William Lawrence

BiographyWilliam Lawrence was the son of John Lawrence (1719-1802), who was the treasurer of Connecticut from 1769 to 1789. William Lawrence married Alice Adams Ripley (widow of Elisha Ripley) (d. 1845) on 24 November 1782 in Coventry, Connecticut. They had four children: Sarah; Alicia (Mrs. Charles Sheldon); William Henry; and Roderick. William Lawrence died on 21 April 1821.
