Rufus Blanchard

BiographyRufus Blanchard worked as a book merchant in Cincinnati, OH before opening a mapmaking and map-publishing business in Chicago in the mid-1850s. During this period he co-published several prints by the Hartford lithographers E. B. & E.C. Kellogg. Blanchard also wrote several histories, often to accompany his maps.
