BiographySilas Hoadley was born 31 January 1786 in Bethany, Connecticut. He was the son of Ammi Hoadley. Silas Hoadley was a clockmaker in Plymouth, Connecticut. He was a partner of Seth Thomas. Silas Hoadley served three terms in the Connecticut General Assembly and one in the state Senate. He died 28 December 1870.
