Pendleton family

Dr. Cyrus Pendleton, a physician, moved from Stonington, Connecticut to Hebron, Connecticut in 1863. He purchased the home of John Graves, a cabinetmaker, at 13 Church Street in Hebron Center. His descendants lived in the house from the 1860s to the 1980s. Dr. Pendleton was a local historian and antiquarian, as was his daughter, Susan B. Pendleton. She served as the local newspaper correspondent for many years, recording many items of local history in her writings. She died in the 1970s at age 104.
