BiographyThe photographers Henry Webster and Benjamin F. Popkins were in business together in Hartford from about 1864 to 1869. Both men were apparently from Massachusetts. Popkins was living in Greenfield, MA and working as a photographer in 1860. He may have later returned to Greenfield; a Greenfield directory for 1899 shows a Benjamin Popkins living in that city.
