BiographyEdward Channing Allen was born 4 December 1853. He was the son of Nancy Adelaide French Allen (1828-1905) and Reverend George Ezekiel Allen (1825-1867) of Scitico (Enfield) Connecticut. On 16 September 1888, Edward Channing Allen married Ella Clarinda Pitkin (1862-1949), the daughter of Evelyn R. and Ester Stiles Pitkin. They had at least one son, George Allen.
