Lux Clock Manufacturing Company was founded in 1914 by Paul Lux in Waterbury, Conn. Paul Lux was an employee of the Waterbury Clock Company of Connecticut before he started the Lux Clock Mfg. Co. The company began manufacturing only clock movements and eventually grew to become a full clock maker company. In 1941, during World War II, the company stopped clock producation to help manufacture products for the war effort. In 1954, a manufacturing facility opened in Lebanon, Tennessee, and in 1959, another factory opened in Ontario, Canada. In 1961, the Lux Clock Mfg. Co. was bought out by the Robertshaw-Fulton Controls Company, and made Lux a division of the company. Eventually, the company became a part of Edwin McAuley Electronics (EME), and products are manufacctured under the Lux Products Corporation.
