Sylvia Jacobs

BiographySylvia Jacobs was born in about 1779, the daughter of Mary Ives Jacobs and Stephen Jacobs. She married Ziba Shepherd (about 1778-1857) in North Haven, Connecticut, on 30 September 1799. Ziba Shepherd served in the War of 1812. The couple had seven children: Leverett (b. 1800); John; Roswell; Jane; Le Etta; Franklin (1815-1898); and Frederick (b. 1819). Sylvia Jacobs Shepherd died in North Haven, Connecticut, on 31 March 1861.
