Charles Edwin Bulkeley

Charles Edwin Bulkeley was born on 16 December 1835, the son of Eliphalet Adams Bulkeley, and the oldest brother of Morgan Gardner Buckley. He was a lawyer by trade and enlisted in the United States Army on 18 December 1861. On 16 January 1864, he was promoted to the rank of Captain. At the time of his death, he was serving in the First Regiment, Heavy Artillery, Company E. He apparently died of illness on 13 February 1864 and is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
