Smith Beecher

Smith Beecher was born in Southbury, Connecticut, in 1808. He was the son of Nathaniel Beecher and Dinah Smith Beecher from West Haven, Connecticut. Smith Beecher lived in New Haven, Connecticut and married Mary E. Short of Derby, Connecticut on 15 May 1836. They had two children: Mary Grace (b. 1841) and Herbert R. Beecher (b. 1860). Smith Beecher was also the uncle of Mary Jane Beecher Fowler.
