Lucy Ann Chase

Lucy Ann Chase was born 1 July 1837 in Killingly, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Emily Fuller Chase (1817-1851) and Samuel Covell Chase (1817-1900). She had two siblings, Samuel Oscar Chase (1842-1884) and Emily Josephine Chase Edson (1850-1896), and one half-sibling, Rufus R. Chase (1858-1938).

Lucy Ann Chase married James Sidney Brainard (1833-1917) in Killingly on 15 August 1858. They had four children: Charles Elmer Brainard (1862-1961); Jared Wilfred Brainard (1876-1924); Clara H. Brainard (1868-1893); and Eva Brainard Taft (Mrs. George Taft). Lucy Chase Brainard died in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, on 26 January 1915.
