BiographyIsaac Sanford was born 2 February 1768 iin Newtown, Connecticut. He was the son of Samuel Sanford IV (1743-1817) and his first wife, Abiah dunning (d. before 1789). On 10 February 1790 Isaac married Anna Bristol, a daughter of his father's second wife, Charity Foote Bristol. Isaac was a turner and wheelwright, and he is thought to have worked with his father in the latter's shop, producing spinning wheels, and looms. He was buried in Newtown's Sandy Hook Cemetery.
