Jerusha Pitkin

Jerusha Pitkin was the daughter of Joseph Pitkin (1696-1762) and Mary Lord Pitkin (1702-1740) of Hartford, Connecticut. In 1760, she married John Wells (1730-1801). They had at least one daughter, Mary, who married Captain Lemuel White; their son James married Mary Garner; their daughter was Sarah White Lee Saunders Mortimer. Jerusha's paternal uncle, William Pitkin, was Governor of Connecticut.
