BiographyMary Wells was born on 13 February 1765, the daughter of John and Jerusha Pitkin Wells of East Hartford, Connecticut. Mary Wells married Captain Lemuel White, as his second wife, on 25 June 1793. They had three children, Wells (died in infancy 1794); James Wells (born 1800); and Mary (1802-1888) Mary Wells died on 1 September 1845 at the age of 80.
