James S. McKenzie

James S. McKenzie of Derby, Connecticut, was a Civil War private in the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery, Company B, under Captain Albert F. Brooker of Torrington, Connecticut. He volunteered for military service; he was mustered-in on 22 May 1861 and was discharged on 21 May 1864.
