Elijah Chapman Kellogg, known as E. C. Kellogg, was the principal partner in the lithography firm E. C. Kellogg & Company, which was formed after the dissolution of Kellogg's unsuccessful partnership with John Chenevard Comstock. Edmund Burke Kellogg rejoined his brother in 1854, and the firm name reverted to E.B. & E.C. Kellogg. Some of the Kellogg firm's most ambitious landscape prints were produced during the years when E. C. Kellogg was on his own.
