Stephanie Windisch

BiographyStephanie Windisch was born in 1883 in Jennersdorf, Austria, near the Hungarian border. She immigrated to the United States with six friends when she was eighteen. She worked in her father's tailor and barbershop and trained as a dressmaker. Her family put her in a convent, but she later married Emil Adam Eisenhardt, born in 1873 near Stuttgart, Germany. Emil trained as a goldsmith in Germany, but was unable to continue that in the United States, so he became a baker. Stephanie and Emil has a daughter, Anna Eisenhardt Quilitsche.
