Isaac WhiteAmerican, 1840 - 1883

Isaac White was born in Hartford and served in the First Connecticut Heavy Artillery during the Civil War. He returned from the war in poor health following a long illness. In 1867 he formed a partnership with the photographer D. K. Prescott, doing business as Prescott & White. By 1872, White had a photography studio of his own at 15 Pratt Street, where he remained until 1880. He died in Coffeyville, Kansas, in 1883.
