BiographyMargaret Bennett was born on 8 October 1874 to Mr. and Mrs. William G. Bennett of West Virginia.
She married accomplished lawyer Robert Crain (1866-1928) in 1898. They had four children that lived to adulthood: Robert Crain, Jr.; William George Bennett Crain, Sr.; Eleanor Morgan Crain McPeck; and Margaret Crain Pittroff.
As an adult, Margaret lived in Washington, D. C. and Baltimore, Maryland. In 1933, after Robert's death in 1926, she married Louis Richmond Cheney (1859-1944) and moved to Hartford, Connecticut. Margaret and Louis lived on Woodland Street. She died of a heart attack at their home on 22 December 1940.
