Frank LorenzoAmerican, 1928 - 2000

Frank Lorenzo was born on 10 October 1928 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was the son of Clement Lorenzo, Jr. and Annie (Edmonston) Lorenzo. He married Barbara Ferguson, and they had three children: Lynne A. Lorenzo, Tracey (Lorenzo) Budrejko, and F. Craig Lorenzo.

Lorenzo served with the Army of Occupation, European Theater in World War II with the 88th Blue Devil Divison. After WWII, he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.

Lorenzo worked as a freelance photographer before joining Acme Newspictures. In 1949, he started working at United Press International, where he stayed for 40 years. Lorenzo served as the Newspictures Bureau Manager of the Hartford, Connecticut branch of United Press International (UPI).

He was a member of the National Press Photographers Association and a charter member of Connecticut News Photographers.

He died on 16 October 2000 in Middletown, Connecticut.
