Ralph Cary Geer

Ralph Cary Geer was born on 13 March 1816 in Willimantic, Connecticut. He was the son of Joseph Cary Geer (1795-1881) and Mary Johnson (1797-1847). He had nine siblings: Frederick Wolcott Geer (b. 1817), Frances Emeline Geer (1821-1897), Joseph Cary Geer (1825-1908), Isaiah Geer (1827-1885), Heman Johnson Geer (1828-1903), Mary Geer (1830-1899), Elizabeth Geer (1833-1916), Juliette Geer (1835-1854), and Iantha Geer (1836-1907).

He had three half-siblings by his father's second wife, Elizabeth Smith (d. 1855): Orlando Thurston Geer (1851-1851), Lucien Geer (b. 1854), and Joel Palmer Geer (1856-1917).

Ralph married Mary Willard (b. 1819) on 8 January 1837 in London, Ohio. They had six children: Calvin Geer (b. 1837), Florinda Geer (b. 1839), Samantha Geer (b. 1842), Lagrande Byington Geer (1845-1909), Mary Geer (b. 1851), and Angeline Geer (1853-1856).

He died on 9 January 1837.
