BiographyKathleen Irene Hunter was born on April 21, 1910 in Liverpool, England. She was the daughter of Robert V. Hunter and Henrietta H. Saunders. Kathleen was first married to Alfred Vernon Attfield on July 23, 1932. They had two daughters together, Anne (b. 1934) and Gillian (b. 1936). Kathleen and the girls immigrated to the United States during World War II, and Kathleen and Alfred were later divorced. She married Frank Dexter Cheney, Jr. on July 10, 1948. They had two sons, Ward Amory Dexter (b. 1950) and Hugh Amory Hunter (b.1951). She died on April 26, 1997.
