The Notman Photographic Co. was one of many photography studios established by Scottish-born, Canada-based photographer William Notman. This particular studio was opened in Boston under the name of Notman and Campbell, in partnership between William, his brother James, and another man named Thomas Campbell. The name Notman Photographic Co. was taken in 1880 and lasted until the close of the business in 1930.
