Henry A. Goodwin opened Goodwin's Drug Store in 1840 in Hartford, Connecticut. Lester H. Goodwin took over the business in 1871, after the death of his father, Henry A. Goodwin. Lester ran the business until his death in 1904. The business had three locations: Corner of Main and State Streets, 55 Farmington Avenue, and 308 Main Street. Goodwin's Drug Store last appears in the Hartford City Directory in 1922.
