William E. Edson

William E. Edson was born on 5 October 1845. He was the son of Ira Edson (1815-1895) and Nancy Oatley (1818-1892). He had three siblings: Nancy E. Edson, Emma Jane Edson Law (1841-1906), and Juliette Edson Wade (1844-1883).

His first wife was Emily Josephine Chase (1850-1896). They had at least three children: William C. Edson (1870-1944), Elmer L. Edson (b. 1877), and Mertie Edson Wilcox (b. 1880). His second wife was Ellen Susan Williams (1854-1929).

He died on 9 December 1903 in Connecticut.
