Samuel Porter

Samuel Porter (1810-1901) was the son of Noah Porter (1781-1866) and Mehitable “Hetty” Meigs (1786-1874). He had six siblings: Noah Porter (1811-1892), Sarah Porter (1813-1900), Giles Meigs Porter (1815-1901), Rebecca Porter Keep (1818-1893), Elizabeth Green Porter (1822-1908), and Maria Morgan Porter (1824-1913).

Samuel Porter was a professor at Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C.
