James Mather Goodwin

James Mather Goodwin (24 Aug. 1785 - 30 March 1870) was the son of James Goodwin (1754-1823) and Hannah Mather Goodwin (1762-1805). He had five siblings: Roxana Goodwin Wells (1784-1875), Mary Goodwin Spencer (1787-1870), Manning Goodwin (1789-1789), Manning Goodwin (1790-1832), and Erastus Goodwin (1795-1882).

He married Roxanna Bulkeley (1788-1869) in 1809. They had five children: Mary Goodwin (d. 1817), William Alfred Goodwin (d. 1838), James Mather Goodwin (1809-1879), Mary Jane Goodwin Brainard (1818-1899), and Henry Wheaton Goodwin (1823-1876).
