Dr. Winfred Robert Martin

BiographyDr. Winfred Robert Martin (1852 - 21 Feb. 1915) was born in China to the Rev. Dr. W. A. P. Martin, a missionary. Winfred came to the United States at age 8. He graduated from Princeton College in 1871/3. He taught at Hartford High School before joining Trinity College in 1888 in the Department of Modern Languages. He resigned from Trinity College in 1907, and became librarian of the Hispanic Society of America.
