BiographyJohn Henry Kelso Davis was born in West Point, New York, on September 17, 1875. He was the oldest son of John Moore Kelso Davis (1844-1920) and Fanny Sanger Davis (1848-1917). John H. K. Davis married Edith Hollister Brainard on 30 October 1907. They had six children: John Moore Kelso Davis II (1908-2002); Edith Brainard Davis; Leverett Brainard Davis; Frank Kelso Davis; Martha Kelso Davis (b. 1921); and Newton Brainard Davis. John H. K. Davis died in Hartford, Connecticut, on 29 May 1956.
