BiographyWinifred Mitchell Carter (3 March 1928 - 6 Dec. 2019) was born in Abaco, Bahamas. She migrated to the United States in 1948, settling in West Hartford, Connecticut. She moved to Bloomfield in 1962. She was a nurse at Saint Francis Hospital and Hartford Hospital. She was a member of the West Indian Social Club.
