BiographyVeronica Airey-Wilson (b. 4 Aug. 1953) was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She is the daughter of Narcisco and Clariana Airey. She moved to Hartford, Connecticut in 1960. In 1994, she was elected to the Hartford Court of Common Council, where she was the first Jamaican to serve as the city’s deputy mayor.
