John Patrick Carey

John Patrick Carey (1918-1945) was born in Connecticut to Michael and Jennie Carey, Irish immigrants. He was the eldest of five children. He lived at Laurel Heights Sanatorium from 1939-1941 to be treated for tuberculosis. He then returned to his home in Bridgeport and worked at Chance Vought Aircraft. He returned to Laurel Heights Sanatorium presumably in 1945, before dying there in July 1945 at the age of 27.
