BiographyTadeusz "Ted" Rusin (1943-2013) was born in Austria to Polish parents and raised in Poland. After immigrating to the United States he worked at Arrow Tool Company in Newington for 30 years and retired from B & F Machine Company in New Britain. Ted was an accomplished woodworker and craftsman, specializing in the Polish folk art style of chip carving and woodburning of designs. He made picture frames, bowls, and many kinds of wood figures and carved pieces, selling his work at Polish community events and at the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Several of his art works were displayed in CCHAP’s 2000 exhibit “Polonia w Connecticut.” A long-time resident of New Britain, Ted was a member of Holy Cross Parish there and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain.
