BiographyPlenero/Pandero builder Angel “Papo” Del Valle, from Carolina, Puerto Rico, makes panderos out of both caoba wood and PVC. He has taught pandero making and how to play the three plena rhythms tumbador, seguidor, and requinto. Papo makes barriles, panderos, timbas, bongos, tambores bata' and more. He's also a source for drum skins. His workshop/studio in Carolina is called Timbas Del Valle.
