Founded in 1892, Davis and Sanford was a partnership between Charles Henry Davis (1862-1929) and E. Starr Sanford (1862-1917). Their photography studio was located at 246 Fifth Avenue in New York City. The firm was known for portraits of prominent figures of the Gilded Age.
