Mitchell Arron
BiographyMitchell Arron was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Max and Anna Arron, and as a child his family immigrated to Connecticut. He was drafted in 1951 to serve in the Korean War with the U.S. Army Engineering Corps. He originally thought he was going to be sent to Korea, but instead ended up in Hohenfels, Germany about two miles from the Czechoslovakian border. The Engineering Corps was tasked with building supply depots, searching for minefields, and putting up telephone poles. After returning home from the war, he worked at the family business, a used clothing and uniform store in Bridgeport.
