American, 1741 - 1828
BiographySarah Halsey was born in Stonington, Connecticut in 1741. Her parents were William (b. 1703-06) and Sarah (Stanton) Halsey (b. Feb. 22, 1706), who were married on June 19, 1738. Sarah's brother, Jeremiah Halsey, (b. 1743) was a lawyer, admitted to the bar in June 1770, married Esther Park, Jan. 1, 1769, d. Preston, CT, June 8, 1829, who took an active part in the Revolutionary War. He spent more time and money than any other man in Connecticut except Governor Trumbull and General Putnam.
