Connecticut River Powwow Society

The Connecticut River Powwow Society, a group of enthusiasts and members of some Connecticut tribal groups active from 1985-2003, organized powwows in June and August around Connecticut. These events featured intertribal dancing, performances by native musicians and dance groups, storytelling, native arts sales, birds of prey demonstrations, etc.
