Vietnamese Mutual Assistance Association of Connecticut

The Vietnamese Mutual Assistance Association of Connecticut began in 1980 to assist recent refugees from the war in Indochina. Longtime director Le Lien Smith was very active in providing references to social services for her community. In 1995, the organization became part of the newly formed and expanded refugee agency Connecticut Coalition of Mutual Assistance Associations also under the direction of Le Lien Smith.
