Morgan Bulkeley Brainard

BiographyMorgan Bulkeley Brainard was born in Hartford, Connecticut on 8 January 1879, the son of Leverett B. Brainard and Mary Bulkeley Brainard. He graduated Hartford Public High School in 1896, then went on to Yale University. In 1900, he grauated from Yale University and in 1903, he graduated Yale Law School. On 27 April 1905, Morgan Brainard married Eleanor Stuart Moffat. They had five children: Morgan B. Brainard, Jr.; Maxwell L. Brainard; Constance Brainard; Edward M. Brainard; and Charles E. Brainard. Morgan Brainard served as the president of the Connecticut Historical Society from 1922 to 1926 and as the president of Aetna Life Affiliated Companies from 1922 to 1956. On 28 August 1957, Morgan Bulkeley died on 28 August Brainard died in Hartford, Connecticut.
