Martin Weigen

BiographyMartin Weigen (born Mieczyslaw Wejgenszperg) was born in Starachowice, Poland.
He was a Holocaust survivor, and was 11 when the Nazis invaded Starachowice, Poland. Weigen survived the death march from Auschwitz, imprisonment in Buchenwald, and the murder of his family, before being liberated at Dachau.
He immigrated to the United States in 1956, with his wife, Margareta, and daughter Sonia. The family settled in Connecticut and changed their names in 1963.
