George Cheney

George Cheney (20 Dec. 1771 - 19 July 1829) was the son of Timothy Cheney (1731-1795) and Mary Olcott Cheney (1737-1786).

He married Electa Woodbridge (1781-1853). They had nine children: George Wells Cheney (1799-1841), John Cheney (1801-1885), Charles Cheney (1803-1874), Ralph Cheney (1806-1897), Seth Wells Cheney (1810-1856), Ward Cheney (1813-1876), Rush Cheney (1815-1882), Frank Cheney (1817-1904), and Electa W. Cheney Goodman (1821-1903).
